Path 8: Case Romane - Crossroad Cala Bianca/Punta Troia
Starting from the crossroads of the Roman Houses you can go back to the paths that lead to Cala Bianca and Punta Troia. Overall it is a fairly challenging route, which winds for a long stretch to the north and at high altitude.
Between the Roman Houses and the junction for Cala Bianca it is worth stopping in an area of high botanical interest called 'ntrata. Here grow oaks of appreciable size and the main endemics of the island, small plants with beautiful late spring blooms.
It is a path that makes you discover better than others the naturalistic dimension and the rude charm of Marettimo.
Typical vegetation: Scylla hughii, daphne, thyme, Senecio incrassatus, lonicera.
