Isola Preveto

Preveto Island is a small islet just over 200 metres off the southern coast of Favignana, easily distinguishable from two other rocks close to it, Galeotta and Galera, which are much smaller in size.

The islet has rocky shores 2 to 4 metres high and a maximum elevation of 8 metres above sea level. There is a small beach of fine sand, which can also be reached by swimming from the coast.

The island is a nesting site for the herring gull, whose eggs hatch in the first weeks of May.
