Path 2: Capo Grosso

Following the route to the Grotta del Genovese, reached the Rifugio Forestale in stone next to the Demanio pine forest, we say, on the right, in the direction of Cala Tramontana, along the dirt road that crosses the island in all its length.

The path just mentioned between the grass and the rocks, continues halfway up to the lighthouse of Capo Grosso, no longer working. Here, you can admire, to the north, an endless stretch of sea, to the east, Mount Erice, Trapani, the island of Formica and Maraone, to the west, a glimpse of the island of Marettimo. It is a particularly enjoyable route in spring and in the very first hours of the day.

Typical vegetation: Aleppo pine, Euforbia dendroides, mastic, prickly pear, caper, thyme, Erica arborea, oleastro, terebinto.
