Path 5: Semaforo - Carrello

The path from the village to the Roman Houses continues in the direction of the Semaphore. We head towards the inside of a rocky gully, a cradle between two lace, Pizzo Scaturro and Pizzo Semaforo, called "naca passio". The Semaphore is an exceptional vantage point for birdwatchers, who in September can observe birds of prey hovering among the upward currents of high altitude on their way to Africa. Going down from the Semaphore, on a well-marked path in beaten earth you continue towards the Cart, of which survives an old iron structure once used for the transport of the stone.

Once you reach the cart you can proceed to the junction with the path that leads from the village to Punta Libeccio, just west of the forest Carcaredda.

Typical vegetation: Erica arborea, cistus, Aleppo pine, terebinto, mastic, ferula, euphorbia, broom, sumac.
