Path 4: Case Romane - Monte Falcone
From the crossroads of paths that starts from the Roman Houses you climb following the signs to Mount Falcone that touches 686 meters, the highest point of the island.
The path is challenging. Halfway you meet a plateau called "Crapa Rizza" immersed in the bush. Note along the path two species of cistus with different spring blooms, one rose, the other white, while on the left there are oaks of medium size. At the highest point of the mountain, near the sign, the route becomes difficult. It is however a point of great interest for the observation of the seasonal passage of birds of prey.
Typical vegetation: Erica arborea, cistus, Aleppo pine, terebinto, mastic, ferula, euphorbia, broom, sumac.
